Review by hotel critic
During my recent gourmet getaway to Siena, I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Minerva, a charming establishment located just behind one of the city gates. The hotel's proximity to the main square made it a convenient choice for exploring the historic center. One of the highlights of my stay was the charming panoramic garden overlooking the heart of the historic center. It served as an ideal green oasis where I could sip an aperitif with friends while enjoying the incomparable view of Siena's ancient districts. The bar at Hotel Minerva, with its classic Italian coffee shop offerings, provided a relaxing and tasteful break from my explorations. In the evening, I ventured out to explore the historic food shops, taverns, and wine bars lining the medieval streets. These establishments preserved the authentic ingredients, products, and recipes of the Tuscan culinary tradition, offering a true taste of the region. While my dining experience at the hotel was satisfactory, the breakfast options were a bit limited, especially considering the current circumstances. However, the overall ambiance of Hotel Minerva, combined with its culinary innovation and proximity to Siena's gastronomic gems, made it a delightful choice for my stay. I look forward to returning to indulge in more of Siena's culinary delights.
